It reported that Job Monitor of DataStage (Ver 8.1 on Windows 2003) did not work with the following message:
main program: Failed to initialize job monitoring. Monitoring information will not be generated.
First, did as this blog , nothing changed.
Then checked the JobMonApp.log file and the jobmoninit script, noticed that the jrehome was not set correctly.
According to the script, jrehome should first be fetched from Windows registry. But there has not such a registry item. Second, under directory $APT_ORCHHOME/java, there has no jre sub-dir.
By changing $jrehome directly to pre-installed java home, it works.
So this issue may be caused by an incomplete installation of DataStage.
然后可能要重启jobmoninit
You need to go your ../IBM/InformationServer/PXEngine/java directory to re-start the jobmoninit by issuing the follwong command:
sh jobmoninit start $APT_ORCHHOME
你找你所用版本的相应的位置位置。
如果你用windows：
set APT_ORCHHOME=C:\IBM\InformationServer\Server\PXEngine
cd C:\IBM\InformationServer\Server\PXEngine\java
sh jobmoninit start
JobMonApp has been started.
